Back in
1995 I was working for a national photography studio as
a photographer and I was approached by a group of models and
they asked if I could shoot their portfolios for them after
work. Well
the shoot went so well that I decided to contact other models
and
start working with them on their portfolios on a regular basis.
The thought of an agency had not
really been in my mind until
early 1996 when the models I had been working with asked me if
I
would consider starting an agency. I really have a young
lady
named Holly in PA to thank for all my success so far. In
late 1996
after some well thought out planning Elegant Images Modeling
was formed.
I had a rocky start as models
hadn't heard of my agency, and
were reluctant to join. This was soon to change though as
I entered
the internet age. My site went online Sept 05, 1997 and
was
averaging about 30 hits a week. With the site up and my
talent
with computers, allowing me to design my own business cards I
was on my way.
One of the first national models to join was a very beautiful
lady
named Julie Ann from the greater Chicago area. Then more
national
models followed and this helped build on my agency's growing
list
of models. By the end of 1998 I had over 40 models, and
my first
client. 1999 was a good year with the addition of over 25
models,
both locally and nationally. I have had a long climb up the
ropes,
especially considering my being an "online" agency. In 2001 we
had booked over 500 jobs, and we hit over 2000 jobs in 2002.
This brings us to
2006. We now have 15 photographers working
with us and over 100 models and our client list is in the
hundreds!. |
We currently work with over 100 models, both local, and
national. We provide free photo shoots for our
models, there
are no long term or exclusive contracts to sign and the model
is free
to decide on any job offer presented to her with no penalties
for
turning down work.
We require our models to be
professional, both in behaviors and
in representing our agency. We require portfolio updates
bi-monthly,
and we ask that each model contact us weekly to keep us up to
date on them.

unlike other sites out there, we talk directly with clients and

background checks to ascertain the credibility of the client.
